About the artist
My grandad was an artist so from an early age I grew up with the smell of turps and paint.
In 2000 I tried to paint with water colours and they really were not for me.
It wasn't until the very end of 2012 that I decided to teach myself how to draw. I started off with graphite pencils, teaching myself the basics and by July 2013 I decided to try coloured pencils.
I was really surprised by the result as I never thought I'd be able to achieve a likeness.
I draw both people and pet portraits but can draw alternatives if you wish like wildlife and I can also create something original where possible.
I'm currently working on a new series of original art and I'm really looking forward to what the future brings.

In 2016 I won a prize at our local art exhibition
Also in 2016 I had a drawing of one of my daughters published in Ann Kullberg"s 'Hidden treasures'
In 2023 I had another coloured pencil drawing published in the 2023 edition of Ann Kullberg's Hidden treasures.
As of the end of April 2024 I now have another website where you can view and purchase my original artworks and prints.
